Meet Kalie:
Hi, I’m Kalie — a Licensed Mental Health Counselor Associate (LMHC-A) providing therapy for individuals of all ages, with a special focus on children and adolescents. I’m passionate about helping clients navigate difficult emotions, build self-awareness, and move toward healing in a way that feels safe, supportive, and authentic.
My Background:
Before becoming a therapist, I spent several years working in the school system as both a teacher and school counselor, supporting K–12 students. I eventually decided to pursue a second career in clinical mental health and earned dual master’s degrees in School Counseling and Clinical Mental Health Counseling.
As a survivor of childhood trauma, I understand how painful and confusing it can be to process loss whether it's the loss of a person, a sense of safety, or a part of yourself. I know what it’s like to have your world change overnight while being told to “just get over it.” That lived experience drives my passion to be the kind of support I once needed: someone who listens deeply, validates what’s hard to say, and walks alongside clients as they adjust to their new normal.
My approach:
My therapeutic approach is rooted in Adlerian theory, with a strong emphasis on the healing power of the therapeutic relationship. I also integrate Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) skills, and a focus on building positive self-image. I love incorporating art, music, and creativity into sessions especially with kids and I strive to create a space where clients feel genuinely seen and heard.
Outside the therapy room, I’m a proud Harry Potter nerd, Wicked superfan, and total music enthusiast. If there’s a way to blend magic, melody, and meaning into a session, I’ll find it.
