Meet Lauryn:

I believe that therapy is a space where stressed teens and concerned parents can find comfort and clarity.

You’ve always done whatever you need to do to take care of your kids. Now you’re struggling to know what is normal and what is cause for concern as they transition to the teen and adult years.
It’s hard to decide when to push and when to give them space, when to speak and when to listen, when to help and when to let them figure it out.

Whether you’ve tried therapy before or if this is your first time, I’ll listen to your concerns and create an environment where your kid can be seen, heard, and understood.

We’ll work together to build a relationship that safe and steady so they can gain insight into
their experiences and learn ways to cope with life’s challenges.

In regular parent sessions, you can feel supported and empowered to communicate with your teen and grow in understanding of their experience without sacrificing your child’s privacy.

My approach is not one size fits all; We might talk, draw, paint, play games, draft text messages, rehearse communication, make pro/con lists, plan for college, explore careers, or engage in body-focused mindfulness. I’ll take the time to really get to know your teen and meet them where they are, always coming back to their goal in therapy.

Therapy with me:

Clients work with me because:

  • They want a therapist that will care for their child as a whole human, not a number

  • They need a therapist that specializes in the unique teen/emerging adult demographic

  • They want to be involved in their child’s care AND preserve their child’s privacy

A few things about me:

1. My favorite movie is The Princess Bride and my heart broke the day I realized
neither of my children would sit through the whole thing.

2. I have a 15 and 4 year old so my days are filled with soccer games and ballet
videos when I’m not seeing clients.

3. My husband and I love to travel, read, and eat delicious food.  We will accept any and all recommendations!
