Talk Therapy

Traditional talk therapy--also known as Psychotherapy--is great for students who, well, like to talk.  This approach allows the child, adolescent, or teen to verbally work through worries, fears, anxieties, or other emotions.  The therapist works with clients to process these difficult emotions, change problematic thought patterns, and learn ways to cope with major life changes and challenges.

Talk therapy may be integrated into play therapy and may include age-appropriate activities or projects to integrate growth.  Talk therapy is completely individualized to each client using a foundation of Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT)
