OCD

Obsessive-Compulsive Disorder involves unwanted, intrusive thoughts (obsessions) and repetitive actions or mental rituals (compulsions) to try to feel safe or prevent harm. For kids, this can be exhausting and interfere with daily life.

How to know if this might help:

- Repeating behaviors (checking, washing, counting) to feel "just right"

- Intense distress if routines are interrupted

- Frequent intrusive thoughts that cause worry

- Spending lots of time on rituals

- Avoiding situations that trigger obsessions
